In celebration of its 20th year, Abitare Internazionale, Philippine distributor of stellar lines of European home furniture and accessories, recently brought together two icons in the art and design industry, the National Artist benedicto "bencab" cabrera and the Dutch design giant, Moooi Carpets, for one extraordinary project. The special collection of wall art carpets exhibits the artist's renowned masterpieces. The formidable project was Abitare's initiative to elevate and promote Philippine art in the global scene.
The exclusive Bencab + MOOOI carpets collection comes in eight designs with only eight pieces per design. Each piece in this collection has been tagged by Art Provenance to secure the work’s authenticity. These include Running Women, Isadora Dancing and Homage to Isabel, each a representation of one of bencab's highly coveted paintings. Moooi Carpets CEO martien valentijn and Director aart-jan Jocker flew in to town especially for the event.
