Thom Browne receives ArTisTry in FAshion AwArd
Multi-awarded menswear designer Thom Browne got another feather in his cap when he recently received the Artistry in Fashion Award from the Couture Council of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology.
Browne was recognised for his trendsetting designs as well as his drive towards innovative couture techniques. Oscar-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg presented the award to him at a luncheon held at the Lincoln Centre’s David H Koch Theatre. Goldberg said of Browne, “He is a designer who represents the idea that you must be an individual and stand for something.”
