Mercado Global honours several notable entrepreneurs in its 6th annual Fashion Forward Celebration

Brooklyn, NY-based non-profit accessory brand Mercado Global honoured several notable entrepreneurs during its 6th annual Fashion Forward Celebration at The Bowery Hotel.

This year’s awardees included Yael Aflalo, one of the co-founders of eco-friendly fashion label Reformation, who received the Global Impact Award; Vogue Mexico & Latin America editor-in-chief Karla Martinez de Salas who was hailed as this year’s Fashion Forward Visionary; and Guatemalan philanthropist and entrepreneur Alida Boer who received the Ambassador Award.

Geared towards empowering Latin American women through entrepreneurship, Mercado Global creates community businesses rooted in traditional crafts and techniques.

Guests enjoyed excellent dishes prepared by Baby Brasa Organic Peruvian Cuisine, paired with cocktails by Tabernero Pisco, Santera Tequila, Se Busca Mezcal, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
