Leadership is all about serving. With the challenges in the librarianship profession in this era, those who are responsible to lead the association must have the needed skills, vision, and the right attitude to address these challenges. Leaders of associations cannot be complacent. They must see to it that everyone is heard, balance the arguments, take the necessary actions, be prudent in handling things, and allow all stakeholders to get involved in solving the issues and concerns that affect the association and the profession in general. This paper presents the different scenarios in leading a library association, specifically the Philippine Librarians Association Inc. (PLAI), and draw from the participants the issues which they think should be acted upon and propose resolutions on addressing these concerns. Keywords: leadership; library associations; professional organizations
