A big step in the achieve­ment of the Depart­ment of Ed­u­ca­tion's (DepEd) mis­sion to pro­vide qual­ity, eq­ui­table, cul­ture-based, and com­plete ba­sic ed­u­ca­tion to every learner is the contextualization and lo­cal­iza­tion of learn­ing re­sources. This process helps the learn­ers un­der­stand lessons bet­ter, thereby en­rich­ing their learn­ing ex­pe­ri­ence. It is also a ma­jor in­stru­ment in the devel­op­ment of lo­cal col­lec­tions for DepEd li­braries. Man­age­ment and de­liv­ery of these re­sources have be­come one of the chal­leng­ing du­ties of DepEd Li­brar­i­ans.
