7 nabbed for P612K worth of ‘shabu’
SEVEN persons were arrested in separate buybust operations in Negros Occidental in the past two days, with a total recovery of P612,500 worth of illegal drugs.
In Kabankalan City, Alo Bacarat, 40, of Binalbagan town was arrested inside a pension house at Barangay 4 yesterday after police confiscated from him eight sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P246,000, P1,133 in cash, and the P100 marked money.
Superintendent Jonel Guadalupe, city police chief, said Bacarat is a drug personality in the city.
He had a previous case in illegal drugs but was reportedly dismissed.
In a separate operation in the said city, Douglas Arroz, 28, of Barangay 9, a drug surrenderer and a streetlevel target; Justine Tagamolila, 21, of Barangay 5, newly-identified drug personality; and Jasem Bajada, 21, of Barangay 3, target subject and drug surrenderer, were arrested at Barangay 3 yesterday for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs.
Police seized from them 19 sachets of suspected shabu amounting to P180,000, the P100 marked money and P3,550 in cash.
In Silay City, Carlos Jaen, 29, of Barangay Rizal was arrested at the said village on October 9 after he allegedly engaged in a drug transaction with a police agent.
He is a target-listed drug personality.
Police recovered from Jaen 17 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 12 grams worth P180,000, cellular phone, pouch, drug paraphernalia, the P12,000 marked money, the P11,500 boodle money, and an improvised fishing gun.
In Cadiz City, Wilmar Atordido, a target-listed drug personality was collared at Barangay Tinampa-an yesterday which resulted in a recovery of two sachets of suspected shabu worth P1,500.
In Victorias City, Joebert Abonales, 53, of Cadiz City, was arrested on October 8 at Barangay 6 after he allegedly yielded four sachets of suspected shabu worth P5,000, the P400 marked money, and P580 in cash.
Abonales is a newlyidentified drug personality./gym
