The event was also participated by KSPC employees and representa- tives of different government agencies, valued business partners and other stakeholders.

In her message, ERC chairperson Agnes Devanadera congratulated KSPC for its performance and for taking care of its people in achieving this milestone.

For his part, Gonzales lauded KSPC for its achievement, which translated to a stable and reliable power supply for Visayas consumers.

Yoon and Jong Ryoon, KSPC’S new president and CEO, cited the lengthy history and diplomatic relationship between the Philippines and the Republic of Korea, which flourished not only in the cultural field but also in the economic and political arena.

“Our being here tonight is not an accident. We are together now by design and by destiny. With the many obstacles around us, we need to unite and help each other, to go together and achieve the same goals,” said Yoon.

Moreover, Yoon assured that KSPC is doing its best to ensure uninterrupted power supply to provide quality, reliable and environment-friendly energy at best value to its customers, and to contribute to Philippine society by enhancing its energy sector and promoting sustainable community development.

Engr. Neil Lawrence Miral, in his LTTFO presentation, emphasized that the Long-term Trouble Free-operation and high availability were achieved under four important dynamics: the adoption of a pro-active preventive maintenance; the implementation of systematic planned maintenance; the unique management strategies; and the utilization of Kepco’s Global Integrated System and Kepco Research Institute.

The Cebu Power Plant operations are equipped with efficient project management programs, an effective material inventory management system, and an enterprise resource planning tool.

Since starting its commercial operation in 2011, KSPC’S power plant has been supplying the power needs of Mactan Electric Company in the Island of Mactan; the northern part of Cebu through Cebu II Electric Cooperative; and the southern part of Cebu through Cebu I Electric Cooperative and the provinces of Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental, Leyte and Bohol Islands./ PR
