Per-andre Hoffmann visits Bacolod
WORLD-RENOWNED photographer for National Geographic and Canon Ambassador Per-andre Hoffmann is set to visit Bacolod City on October 27 to 29 for an Introductory Engagement Visit with the University of St. La Salle Bacolod community headed by the president and Chancellor Br. Joaquin Severino Martinez and alumni representative, Dr. Leonito Lopue who happens to be a photography enthusiast.
This is in preparation for the International Development Program of Usls–bacolod which includes Short Course Program/training Workshop and Master Class on Photography.
He will be accompanied by Robin Serrano, vice president for Advancement of the De La Salle-college of St. Benilde.
This international Lasallian endeavor commits to pursue innovative engagements that are directed
towards greater efficiency and effectiveness through arts, culture, design and sustainable innovation. This also opens the doors of opportunity for budding photographers in the city and the rest of Negros.
The visit aims to provide a platform for discussion of the incoming phases of the program with USLS Proponents from the different units.
A photo capture of the USLS Bacolod campus is also included in his itinerary as well as a walk-through of the Bacolodnon culture like the Masskara festival and the ecological and environmental sites in the city.
This will not be the first time for the veteran photographer to visit the City of Smiles as he gave a seminar-workshop on photography last September 21 at USLS.
It was attended by a number of students and teachers from Bacolod as well as practicing photographers.
The training workshop will be held on January 2019 while the Master Class on Photography will be on April and May 2019 both of which will be at USLS Bacolod.
