SP lauds Sil­ver Masskara Fes­ti­val Or­ga­ni­za­tion, PNP

THE Sang­gu­ni­ang Pan­lung­sod (SP) of Ba­colod City ex­pressed their heart­felt and warm­est con­grat­u­la­tions and com­men­da­tion to the Sil­ver Masskara Fes­ti­val Or­ga­ni­za­tion Inc., the Philip­pine Na­tional Po­lice and all Masskara sup­port agen­cies for the suc­cess­ful and peace­ful cel­e­bra­tion of the 39th Masskara Fes­ti­val.

The res­o­lu­tion, au­thored by Coun­cilor Bar­tolome Orola, was ap­proved dur­ing the reg­u­lar ses­sion Mon­day.

Orola said the re­cently con­cluded world-renowned Masskara Fes­ti­val cel­e­bra­tion of Ba­colod has been very suc­cess­ful and was well-at­tended by lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional tourists, var­i­ous for­eign del­e­gates, lo­cal celebri­ties, and na­tional of­fi­cials, in­clud­ing Pres­i­dent Ro­drigo Duterte.

He said the res­i­dents and tourists, both lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional, thor­oughly en­joyed the month-long Masskara Fes­ti­val and ex­pressed their ap­pre­ci­a­tion to the well or­ga­nized and highly vis­i­ble po­lice per­son­nel and other sup­port agen­cies who main­tained the peace and or­der pro­tec­tion of the mer­ry­mak­ers dur­ing the fes­ti­val.

“Such high-level per­for­mance in law en­force­ment, preven­tion of crime and main­te­nance of peace and or­der de­served the ac­co­lades and recog­ni­tion for a job well done,” he added.

Orola noted that the all-out sup­port and co­op­er­a­tion of the var­i­ous Masskara sup­port agen­cies have been in­stru­men­tal in the very suc­cess­ful and peace­ful cel­e­bra­tion of the fes­ti­val.

The City Coun­cil also ap­proved a res­o­lu­tion con­grat­u­lat­ing Po­lice Re­gional Of­fice-6 di­rec­tor Chief Su­per­in­ten­dent John Bu­lala­cao, Ne­gros Oc­ci­den­tal Po­lice Pro­vin­cial Of­fice di­rec­tor Se­nior Su­per­in­ten­dent Rodolfo Castil Jr., Ba­colod City Po­lice Of­fice act­ing di­rec­tor Se­nior Su­per­in­ten­dent Fran­cisco Ebreo, all field com­man­ders and their ded­i­cated men and women in uni­form for suc­cess­fully main­tain­ing the peace and or­der of the fes­ti­val.

The res­o­lu­tion, au­thored by Coun­cilor Ri­card Tan, stated that the PNP was very strong and united in field­ing their uni­formed per­son­nel to Ba­colod City in or­der to se­cure all peo­ple who come and cel­e­brate the en­tire pe­riod of the world-fa­mous Masskara Fes­ti­val.

Tan said that ex­cept for some mi­nor con­cerns, peace and or­der was well-main­tained, the peo­ple were all se­cured paving the way to the suc­cess­ful and color­ful cel­e­bra­tion of the fes­ti­val.

“Such best per­for­mance of PNP per­son­nel is the prod­uct of a very ef­fec­tive plan­ning and lead­er­ship of the top-rank­ing com­man­ders within the re­gion, as well as the gen­er­ous sup­port of the city of­fi­cials,” he said.

He added that words are not enough to de­scribe how thank­ful the peo­ple of Ba­colod, as well as the lo­cal and for­eign tourists who came all the way Ba­colod to ex­pe­ri­ence the Masskara Fes­ti­val./map
