Tanate join train­ing camp at Zheng Ding Na­tional Train­ing Cen­ter

LOPTTA-LA SALLE head coach and train­ing di­rec­tor Marell La­gun­day to­gether with Coach Rev. Hosea Al­varez and player Micah again joined the good­will ta­ble ten­nis se­ries and tour in Bei­jing.

Mean­while, the Loptta raised player Micah Tanate to­gether with the four promis­ing ath­letes from Tatand - John Russell Misal, Keith Rhyne Cruz, Kaela Deine Aguilar, and Neo An­gelo Laudato, and head coach Ken­neth Cruz - will re­main to un­dergo in­ten­sive train­ing for at least two more weeks and will be ex­posed to the mod­ern and sci­en­tific sports pro­gram of the pres­ti­gious Zheng Ding Na­tional Train­ing Head­quar­ter, Shi­ji­azhuang City, He­bei

With the sup­port and ap­proval of del­e­ga­tion head Stephen Techico, hon­orary pres­i­dent of the Fed­er­a­tion of the Filipinochi­nese As­so­ci­a­tion, to­gether with the cur­rent and for­mer lead­ers of Tatand, this pro­gram was re­al­ized. All five play­ers were win­ners in the 15th Unior­i­ent Cup Tatand In­ter­scholas­tic Ten­nis League or­ga­nized last April by the Ta­ble Ten­nis As­so­ci­a­tion for Na­tional De­vel­op­ment in the Philip­pines.

“It is an op­por­tu­nity for us to join the tour­na­ment es­pe­cially for Micah to train with Zheng Ding train­ers and coaches for more im­prove­ment on her part,” said Lopue’s-la Salle head coach Marell La­gun­day.

In ad­di­tion, the group toured the 2008 Bei­jing Olympic Park fea­tur­ing the iconic Bird’s Nest Na­tional Sta­dium as well as the world-fa­mous Great Wall of China, the Sum­mer Palace, Tian’an men Square, For­bid­den City, the Tem­ple of heaven, Cap­i­tal Univer­sity of Phys­i­cal Ed­u­ca­tion and Sports, and Bei­jing Univer­sity./pr
