Familiaran clarifies readjustment of session schedule

-

BACOLOD City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran clarified yesterday they adjusted the schedule of their regular session because of some activities in the city.

Instead of Wednesday, they moved their regular session to Monday because of the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions-conference (Micecon) that was held from November 27 to 29.

“Next week, we will hold our regular session on Monday again because the members of the City Council will attend the Philippine Councilors League, Vice Mayor’s League and National Youth Movement on December 4 to 7,” he said.

He added some people criticized them for moving the regular session to Monday instead of Wednesday.

Familiaran noted that if there is some request to adjust their session with a valid reason, they will reschedule it so the majority of the members can attend the session.

On Monday, the City Council approved the request of Mayor Evelio Leonardia to grant him an authority to sign the contract agreement with the Development Bank of the Philippines involving the P1.7 billion loan to fund the city’s flagship projects.
