UNO-R Talisay to hold homecoming

ABOUT 2,000 graduates of Colegio San Nicolas Tolentino–recoletos (CSNT-R), formerly University of Negros Occidental–recoletos (Unor)-talisay, in Negros Occidental are expected to gather for the grand alumni homecoming on December 29.

Marking the 25th year as graduates of the CSNT-R, the Batch 1993 led by Khyn Yap will host the activity dubbed “Party of Lights, Be the Light.”

A total of 43 batches since 1975 will join the activity which is “two years in the making,” Yap said.

Prior to the major event, the group will hold a Zumba fundraisin­g event and raffle draw at the CSNT-R grounds on December 21.

Prizes at stake in the raffle draw include P20,000 for the first prize; P15,000– second prize; P10,000–third, and 10 consolatio­n prizes of P1,000 each. Proceeds of the activity will be donated to the school for various projects.

A “Mentors Night” will also be held to honor their teachers at the Town and Country Clubhouse in Talisay City on December 27.

Meanwhile, event organizer Nidz Villones of NRV Production said activities during the homecoming include a holy mass in the afternoon to be officiated by Fr. Anthony Ireneo followed by a float parade, mass dance competitio­n, search for the Male and Female Star of the Night, and Best Facebook Post, among others./pr
