BCPO gears up for Yuletide season
THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is gearing up for the holiday season as policemen will be deployed in different areas of convergence.
Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, acting director of BCPO said the public can expect police presence in shopping malls, transport terminals, markets, airports, and seaports, among others.
Ebreo said policemen will also be assigned in churches during dawn masses or “Simbang Gabi” to provide security for church-goers.
BCPO has enough personnel to maintain peace and order in the city during Christmas and New Year’s Day, the Bacolod top cop said.
“We are not expecting additional personnel from Police Regional Office (Pro)–western Visayas for the Yuletide season but if they will provide us with more forces, we welcome it,” he added.
Ebreo assured the public that policemen will be visible in places where there is an influx of people.
Police assistance desks will also be stationed in different areas as part of the city police force’s security measures for the holiday./gym
