THREE persons were injured in a shooting incident at Barangay Andulauan in Ilog, Negros Occidental Thursday, December 6.

Wounded were Rey Menodiado,52, a driver of the Department of Education (Deped); Elesio Villa, 38, a security guard, both residents of the said village; and Arnold Cordero, 47, of Talisay City, a driver of a construction firm.

Police records showed that the three victims were having a coffee at a store when suspect Jerry Arroz, 50, arrived and allegedly shot them past 6 a.m.

The suspect then fled.

Arroz allegedly targeted Villa and Cordero after learning that one of them is admiring the woman he is courting. Menodiado was hit by a stray bullet.

Police said Arroz committed the crime because of jealousy.

All three victims were brought to a hospital.*
