SP passes 21 ordinances, 1,168 resolutions in 2018
THE Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Negros Occidental has passed a total of 21 ordinances and 1,168 resolutions in 2018.
The records showed that among the significant ordinances approved by the legislative body of the province is Ordinance No.001 which provided for a Provincial Code pursuing a public-private partnership for the people (P4) approach towards development, providing for the PRONINE cedure for selecting the private sector proponent, adopting a contract management framework and providing appropriations and for other purposes.
The SP also passed Ordinance No. 002 which established the Negros First Animal Hub at Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City providing fees and charges for services, activities, and use.
The SP also approved the P4 Agreement entered into by the provincial government and Dynamic Builders and Construction Co., relative to the lease of the 6,485 square meter property of the province located at the Provincial Administration Center.
It also passed Ordinance No.17 that created the Provincial Aids Council of Negros Occidental.
Ordinance No. 18 was also passed that authorized Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. to loan P1.2 billion from the Landbank of the Philippines.
Of the total amount of the loan, P900 million is set for the construction of the New Provincial Administration Center, P125 million for the upgrading of the Eleuterio Decena Memorial District Hospital in Hinobaan town, P175 million for the acquisition of various furniture, facilities and equipment for the Mambukal Convention Hotel and Tourist Lodge, Negros First Hotel and the Negros First Pala-pala and Food Terminal.
The SP also passed Ordinance No.020, adopting the official seal of the provincial of the Negros Occidental.*
