SP passes 21 or­di­nances, 1,168 res­o­lu­tions in 2018

THE Sang­gu­ni­ang Pan­lalaw­igan (SP) of Ne­gros Occidental has passed a to­tal of 21 or­di­nances and 1,168 res­o­lu­tions in 2018.

The records showed that among the sig­nif­i­cant or­di­nances ap­proved by the leg­isla­tive body of the prov­ince is Or­di­nance No.001 which pro­vided for a Pro­vin­cial Code pur­su­ing a pub­lic-pri­vate part­ner­ship for the peo­ple (P4) ap­proach to­wards de­vel­op­ment, pro­vid­ing for the PRONINE ce­dure for se­lect­ing the pri­vate sec­tor pro­po­nent, adopt­ing a con­tract man­age­ment frame­work and pro­vid­ing ap­pro­pri­a­tions and for other pur­poses.

The SP also passed Or­di­nance No. 002 which es­tab­lished the Ne­gros First An­i­mal Hub at Panaad Park and Sta­dium in Bacolod City pro­vid­ing fees and charges for ser­vices, ac­tiv­i­ties, and use.

The SP also ap­proved the P4 Agree­ment en­tered into by the pro­vin­cial gov­ern­ment and Dy­namic Builders and Con­struc­tion Co., rel­a­tive to the lease of the 6,485 square me­ter prop­erty of the prov­ince lo­cated at the Pro­vin­cial Ad­min­is­tra­tion Cen­ter.

It also passed Or­di­nance No.17 that cre­ated the Pro­vin­cial Aids Coun­cil of Ne­gros Occidental.

Or­di­nance No. 18 was also passed that au­tho­rized Gov­er­nor Al­fredo Marañon Jr. to loan P1.2 bil­lion from the Land­bank of the Philip­pines.

Of the to­tal amount of the loan, P900 mil­lion is set for the con­struc­tion of the New Pro­vin­cial Ad­min­is­tra­tion Cen­ter, P125 mil­lion for the up­grad­ing of the Eleu­terio De­cena Me­mo­rial District Hos­pi­tal in Hi­nobaan town, P175 mil­lion for the ac­qui­si­tion of var­i­ous fur­ni­ture, fa­cil­i­ties and equip­ment for the Mam­bukal Con­ven­tion Ho­tel and Tourist Lodge, Ne­gros First Ho­tel and the Ne­gros First Pala-pala and Food Ter­mi­nal.

The SP also passed Or­di­nance No.020, adopt­ing the of­fi­cial seal of the pro­vin­cial of the Ne­gros Occidental.*
