Es­calante top per­form­ing board mem­ber

NE­GROS Oc­ci­den­tal Sec­ond Dis­trict Board Mem­ber Sal­vador Es­calante Jr. re­mained as the top per­former among the mem­bers of the Au­gust body in 2018.

Records at the Sang­gu­ni­ang Pan­lalaw­iga (SP) showed that Es­calante, who chairs the com­mit­tee on ap­pro­pri­a­tion, bud­get and fi­nance, au­thored 269 res­o­lu­tions and 30 or­di­nances.

He has also filed 549 res­o­lu­tions un­der his com­mit­tee.

Es­calante is al­ready on his third and last term.

He was fol­lowed by an­other out­go­ing board mem­ber, Alain Ga­tus­lao of the Fifth Dis­trict, has filed 224 res­o­lu­tions while his com­mit­tee, the com­mit­tee on laws, came out with 211 res­o­lu­tions.

Sixth Dis­trict Board Mem­ber He­len Zafra, who is also fin­ish­ing her term this year, came in third in the list with 148 au­thored res­o­lu­tions.

Third Dis­trict Board Mem­ber Fred­er­ick Ko au­thored four or­di­nances while Fourth Dis­trict Board Mem­ber Vic­tor Javel­lana au­thored three or­di­nances.

Zafra’s com­mit­tee on health pro­duced 120 res­o­lu­tions while Ko’s com­mit­tee on hu­man re­sources had 10 or­di­nances.

In terms of at­ten­dance, Zafra has the most num­ber of ses­sions present with 48 fol­lowed by Fourth Dis­trict Board Mem­ber Jose Ma. Alonso with 47 and Sixth Dis­trict Board Mem­ber Pe­dro Zayco with 46.

Es­calante and First Dis­trict Board Mem­ber Rom­mel De­bul­gado both at­tended 45 ses­sions.

Mean­while, Vice Gov­er­nor Eu­ge­nio Jose Lac­son was present in 41 ses­sions.*
