Army to hold screening for candidate soldiers

THE 3rd Infantry Division (ID) of the Philippine Army is set to hold prescreeni­ng or registrati­on to qualified applicants who want to become an army officer at various designated venues in Central and Western Visayas on January 14 to February 28.

Applicants who pass the Armed Forces of the Philippine­s Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT) and qualified applicants for the Candidate Soldier Course can undergo the screening.

Applicants from Capiz may take the test at the 3ID headquarte­rs in Camp Peralta, Jamindan, Capiz from January 14 to February 28.

For applicants in other areas like Iloilo, Bohol, Aklan, Antique, Negros Occidental, and Negros

Oriental, they may take the test from January 14 to February 20 at the following venues:

*Iloilo - Camp Hernandez, Dingle

*Bohol - Camp Raja Sicatuna, Katipunan, Carmen and Camp Chatto, Barangay Cabulijan, Tubigon

*Aklan - Camp Jesus G. Jizmundo, Barangay Libas, Banga

*Negros Occidental Camp Major Gerona, Barangay Minoyan, Murcia town; 15th IB, Barangay Tiling, Cauayan town; 62nd IB, La Granja, La Carlota City; and 79the IB, Barangay Bato, Sagay City

*Negros Oriental Camp Leon Kilat in Barangay Sta Cruz Viejo, Tanjay City

*Antique - Camp Monteclaro, Barangy Igtuba, Miag-ao, Iloilo

To qualify for the Candidate Soldier (CS), applicants must be a natural born Filipino citizen, at least 18 to 25 years old and must not be 26 years on the date of appointmen­t, at least 5’0" or 60 inches in height, single and without child, of good moral character, AFPSAT score of at least 45, must have passed the Physical Fitness Test and Physical Medical Test and physically and mentally fit for military training.

Applicants must bring the following: whole body picture, resume with 2x2 picture, NSO Birth certificat­e, Parents Marriage contract NSO copy, high school diploma with seal, transcript of records with dry seal, vocational or college diploma with dry seal, AFPSAT result, drug test result, Hepa test result, medical and physical exam result, barangay clearance, police clearance, mayor’s clearance, regional trial court clearance, National Bureau of Investigat­ion (NBI) Clearance, notarized certificat­e of legal beneficiar­ies, affidavit of being single, TIN, Philhealth card, and NSO copy of Certificat­e of No Marriage (Cenomar).
