2 nabbed for drugs, loose firearm
TWO persons were arrested in separate buybust operations in Negros Occidental in the past two days.
In Silay City, Joebert Guitche, 26, of Barangay Guinhalaran, a highvalue target was collared in the said village yesterday after police seized from him three sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing four grams worth P60,000, coin purse, lighter, cellular phone, P4,000 boodle money, the P500 marked money, and P14.60 in cash.
Meanwhile, a 28year-old man was arrested in Barangay Balintawak, Escalante City on Sunday for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, RA 10591 or Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Police identified the suspect as Perlito Sico Jr., a newly-identified drug personality.
Authorities recovered from him two sachets of suspected shabu, the P500 marked money, and a caliber .38 revolver loaded with two live ammunition.
The suspect will face violation of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Resolution No. 10446 for carrying a firearm without Certificate of Authority ahead of the May 2019 midterm and local elections which started on January 13 to June 12 this year.*
