Prior general visits OAR communities
Fr. Miguel Miro Miro, OAR, Prior General of the Order of Augustinian Recollects (OAR), is visiting all recollect communities belonging to the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno from February 11 to March 24.
Dubbed “Visita de Renovacion,” this is his last visit to the OAR communities around the world as prior general.
Miro is on his second term after re-elected in 2016 during the 55th General Chapter of the order.
He will be with the Recoletos de Bacolod community (UNO-R), the OAR Monastery in Tangub, Resource-handumanan, and Recoletos de Talisay today until Wednesday, February 27.
He will be accompanied by his councilors namely: Fray Raul Buhay, OAR; Fray Simeón Puertas, OAR; Fray Nicolas Perez –Aradros, OAR; Fray Fioresi Alcimar, OAR; Fray Juan Carlos Avitia, OAR; and Fray Antonio Carrón, OAR.
The group along with Rev. Fr. Dionisio Selma, OAR, prior provincial of the OAR Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno, they will lead the Blessing and Inauguration of the Nuestra Senora de la Salud Hall or the Integrated School building.
He is also meeting the members of Recoletos de Bacolod community, the Secular Augustinian Recollects Fraternity and Recoletos Augustinian Youth.
Moreover, the Negros Island cluster of Recoletos communities will be attending the talk of Fray Carrón, general councilor and head of the General Section for Educational Apostolate.
The talk to be held at Oratory of St. Nicholas of Tolentino will focus on the “Guidelines of the Order of Augustinian Recollects on the Protection of Minors.”
The cluster is composed of the communities from San Carlos City, Talisay City, Bacolod City, Valencia, Caidiocan, and Tambo with the communities of the Agustinian Recollect nuns.
