Septuagenarian, 2 sons hurt in stabbing
A SEPTUAGENARIAN and his two sons were injured after they were stabbed by their neighbors at Purok San Roque 1, Phase 6B, Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City Sunday evening.
Police identified the victims as Carlito Adorio, 73, and his two sons Joselito and Erwin Adorio, all residents of Purok Kawayanan, Barangay Handumanan.
Police Captain Armilyn Vargas, head of Police Station 10, said yesterday that the three victims sustained multiple injuries after they were attacked by their neighbors Francisco Magbanua, 64, and his two sons Marlon and Kenly Magbanua.
Investigation showed that at about 8:55 p.m., a heated argument ensued between Carlito and Franciso’s elder sister at Purok San Roque.
Vargas said Francisco tried to pacify Carlito and his sister, but a heated argument also ensued between them so he took a knife and attacked Carlito.
Carlito’s sons also tried to help him, but Francisco’s two sons also attacked them using a bladed weapon.
Carlito and his two sons sustained injuries and were brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
Vargas said Francisco and his son Kenly were arrested in follow-up operation in Purok San Roque while Marlon is still at-large.
She said the victims are willing to file multiple physical injuries against the suspects.
Meanwhile, a 56-year old man was also injured after he was stabbed by his neighbor at Hacienda Guanzon, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City Sunday evening.
Police identified the victim as Zaldy Chavez.
Police Major Sherlock Gabana, chief of Police Statin 7, said Chavez sustained wound in his chest when Anthony Soledad attacked him using a bladed weapon.
Investigation showed at about 7:30 p.m. a heated argument ensued between Chavez and Soledad regarding on the loud music of the suspect.
Gabana said the suspect took a knife tucked on his waist and attacked the victim and fled.
The victim was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital while the suspect is still at-large.*
