Man stabbed to death in Moises Padilla

41 year old resident of Barangay Odiong, Moises Padilala died of stabbing.

The victim was identified as Jiovannie Garcia, 39 years old of the barangay while the suspect was identified as Pacifico Angel, 41 years old also of the same place.

Based on police report the stabbing incident transpired at about 7:30 PM of May 30, 2019 at Sitio Ba-og, Brgy Odiong, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental. The victim sustained a stab wound on his abdomen and was rushed to Isabela District Hospital, Negros Occidental for medical treatment but was declared dead on arrival (DOA)L at around 8:10 PM by Dr Ma. Editha Granada, medical officer.

The suspect meanwhile fled after the incident bringing along with him the weapon used. The cadaver of the victim was brought to Funeral Parlor L. Nalagon subject for autopsy examinatio­n.

In another developmen­t, four persons were wounded due to traffic accident at National Highway, Purok 1 Pantalan, Barangay Asia, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental.

Injured were identified by the police as Eduardo Mahinay, Jr., 19 years old and resident of Barangay 6, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental but temporaril­y residing at Barangay 2 Poblacion, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental; Joel Panuebo, a male minor and another male minor

all are residents of Barangay Asia, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental.

Based on police report, the vehicular accident happened along National highway, Purok 1 Pantalan, Barangay Asia, Hinobaan involving a motorcycle with no plate owned by Samuel Manlangit and driven by Panuebo and a tricycle driven by Mahinay.

Initial investigat­ion shows that the second vehicle was traversing from Barangay Asia proper going to Hinoba-an proper direction, that upon reaching at the place of incident, he overtook the other tricycle but didn’t noticed the approachin­g motorcycle on the left shoulder of road and collided which injured both drivers and two back riders of the motorcycle.

All four (4) injured persons were immediatel­y brought to Eleuterio Decena Memorial Hospital at Barangay Bacuyangan Hinobaan for medical assistance but later referred to Bacolod City as per advice by the attending physician Dra. Realyn B. Dongaban./tde
