PANASIATIC, PHILCARE INK HEALTH INSURANCE CONTRACT

Panasiatic has renewed their contract with Philcare for the insurance coverage of their more than 4,500 call center agents in Bacolod City.

This is part of their yearly anniversary activities of Panasiatic where the company values more the health and welfare of their benefit agents, Hijara-ferraris said.

Carmel Montesclaros of Philcare said it is our 5th year with Panasiatic and each year, we endeavor to give Panasiatic employees always more than what they have enjoyed previously. For this year, we have lined up some wellness talks so that Panasiatic agents will be aware of the things that they must do to avoid certain common diseases. It is all about the holistic aspect of the Panasiatic employees.

Philcare just finished their 2nd wellness index study conducted by a reputable researcher Dr. Fernando Parragas of the University of the Philippines. It was found in that study that the people from Western Visayas, we are better off than the rest of the country in terms of social, financial, emotional and psychological wellness.

“We smoke less while the rest of the country smokes an average of four sticks of cigarettes a day while the Visayans, the average is only one stick a day. People in Western Visayas also has a better sex life where people in the age bracket of 31 to 50 are having sex more than 3 times a week. People in Western Visayas have more money to pay for the hospitalization so they worry less. Visayan people are not that stressed compared to people in Luzon when it comes to hospitalization. Negrenses are more chill than the rest of the country,” she said.*
