P170K ‘shabu’ seized in Bacolod City
AN ESTIMATED P170,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a drug bust operation by operatives of Police Station 8 at Purok Hollowblocks in Barangay Singcang-airport, Bacolod City at about 7:46 p.m. Wednesday, November 16.
The operation also led to the arrest of Reyman Sangco, 38, a resident of Barangay Orong, Kabankalan City.
Major Joery Puerto, commander of Police Station 8, said yesterday the suspect was arrested after he sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer.
Police recovered from Sangco’s possession nine sachets of suspected shabu weighing 25 grams, the P500 marked money and coin purse.
Puerto said Sangco, who was identified as street level individual in Bacolod City, was under surveillance for almost a month before his arrest.
He said Sangco, who has a supplier in Bacolod City, was also included in the drug watchlist of Kabankalan City Police Station.
He added they are still conducting further investigation to determine the supplier of Sangco in Bacolod City.
The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 8.
He will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
