DILG-WV’S Excell Awards team conducts onsite validation
THE REGIONAL Validating Team of the 2022 Search for Excellence in Local Governance (Excell) Awards of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Region 6 conducted an onsite validation in Negros Occidental Friday, November 18.
This after Negros Occidental was shortlisted in the top three provinces vying for the regional award, a statement from the provincial government said.
Excell Awards recognizes local government units for their best practices in Administrative Governance, Social Governance, Economic Governance, Environmental Governance, Local Legislation, and Public Safety, Peace and Order.
The Regional Awards Committee and evaluators were welcomed by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, and DILG Provincial Director Teodora Sumagaysay.
Lacson lauded the Provincial and Regional DILG for their consistent help and guidance for the province to meet the parameters of good governance.
“The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, despite the drawbacks, sought tirelessly the necessary transformations, desired innovations, improved coordination, planning and implementation of programs according to law and our development agenda,” he said.*
