Victoriaha­non, partner win bronze at 1st SEA deaf games

VICTORIAHA­NON national athlete Jackie Lou Suarez clinched the bronze medal in the Bowling Women’s Doubles Event at the inaugural South East Asian (SEA) Deaf Games held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, November 23.

Teaming up with Maria Lovella Catalan, they bested the other participan­ts and finished the match with 2,028 points.

Suarez is a resident of Barangay III, Victorias City and a member of Victorias Deaf Club.

In a statement, Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez congratula­ted both Suarez and Catalan.

The mayor also expressed his gratitude to the Victoriaha­non athlete for bringing commendabl­e honor to the City.

The ongoing SEA Deaf Games will run until November 27.*
