Official: Bacolod City mayor’s spox, executive assistant resigns

LAWYER Lyzander Dilag, an executive assistant and spokesperson of Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, has resigned from post effective last week.

Secretary to the Mayor Atty. Karol Joseph Chiu confirmed this yesterday, November 29, they received the resignation of Dilag last week due to health reasons.

He said Benitez also accepted the resignation of Dilag.

“We will wait for the decision of Mayor Benitez to determine the replacement of Dilag,” he added.

Dilag served as SPOKESSENATOR person of Benitez when the latter assumed its post on July 1, 2022.

He was also appointed as executive assistant, speto cifically as cluster head of education, in Bacolod City.

Dilag could not be reached for a comment as of yesterday.*
