136K in ‘shabu’ seized in San Carlos City

AN ESTIMATED P136,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a drug bust operation by operatives of San Carlos City Police Station at Ylagan Extension, Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental at about 11:20 a.m. yesterday, November 29.

The operation also led to the arrest of Charles Castro, 20; Jason Sabellano, 22; Orly Escuardo, 32; and Christian Fajardo, 18, all residents of San Carlos City.

San Carlos City Police Station records showed the suspects were arrested after one of them sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession 24 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 20 grams, P1,100 marked money, and drugs parapherna­lia.

The police said Castro, Sabellao and Escuardo were identified as street level individual­s in San Carlos City.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of San Carlos City Police Station.

They will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehens­ive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
