Clint Bon­dad hopes ‘the very best’ for Ca­tri­ona Gray af­ter split

FILIPINO-GER­MAN model and ac­tor Clint Bon­dad on Sat­ur­day wished Miss Uni­verse 2018 Ca­tri­ona Gray “the very best on your path” fol­low­ing the end of their 6-year re­la­tion­ship.

Bon­dad shared on In­sta­gram an in­ter­view clip in which he said that the 25-year-old beauty queen “be­longs first of all to her­self.”

“Man, and here I am work­ing so hard on my bad boy im­age... I stand by all I have ever said about you,” Bon­dad cap­tioned the post shared to his 320,000 In­sta­gram fol­low­ers.

Ap­par­ent speak­ing of their split, Bon­dad also said: “This is cer­tainly not what we both wanted, but most cer­tainly what we both need at this point of our life.”

Gray ear­lier said she and Bon­dad “just didn’t work out” and that they out­grew each other.

“When you’re to­gether for so long and you start off from a very young age, you grow. Whether that be in your per­sonal or in your ca­reer —some­times you just out­grow each other,” she told ABS-CBN’S Boy Abunda on Fri­day.

“If we’re meant to be to­gether, maybe it’d hap­pen in the fu­ture but as of right now...” she added, shak­ing her head to in­di­cate no.
