VMA 46th Recog­ni­tion Cer­e­mony held

A MULTI-AWARDED Global Col­lege in Bacolod City held re­cently the recog­ni­tion of some se­lected stu­dents with the highly rec­og­nized and suc­cess­ful VMA Alumni as Guest Speak­ers.

Led by its Chair­man Atty. Juan N. Orola, Jr , Dr. El­iz­a­beth O. Sal­abas, Pres­i­dent., Vice Chair­man Danilo P. Cruz, VP for Ad­min­is­tra­tion Epi­fa­nia O. Bale­nia and VP for Aca­demic Af­fairs Reme­dios, Jo­hanna S. Var­gas, and participat­ed by its fac­ulty and staff, VMA Global Col­lege and Train­ing Cen­ters, Inc. held the 46th Recog­ni­tion Cer­e­mony of some 100 achiev­ers at the VMA Gym­na­sium on March 22, 2019.

Chair­man of the Board of Trus­tees, Atty. Juan N. Orola, Jr., proudly con­grat­u­lates the awardees in his wel­come re­marks, while the Col­lege’s Pres­i­dent El­iz­a­beth O. Sal­abas, com­mended the par­ents who un­ceas­ingly im­bued dis­ci­pline to their chil­dren as also part of their train­ing in VMA..

Dur­ing the cer­e­mony, the Mar­itime achiev­ers were in­spired by 2/M Melzar M. Arzaga, VMA alum­nus 2007, who is now the 2nd Of­fi­cer of Crew Care In­cor­po­ra­tion.

2/M Arzaga shared the im­por­tance of Re­spect, In­tegrity and Loy­alty for th­ese 3 im­por­tant at­tributes pos­sessed by any­one will surely give a sig­nif­i­cant im­pact to his ca­reer in the fu­ture. Nev­er­the­less, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own un­der­stand­ing. In all your ways ac­knowl­edged Him, and He shall di­rect your path” , 2/M Arzaga quoted from Jeremiah 29:11.

Non- Mar­itime hon­orees dili­gently lis­tened to Ms. Grace Delfin, also the col­lege’s alum­nus who is the Ho­tel Sales and Mar­ket­ing Su­per­vi­sor for Hol­i­day Inn Ex­press Manila, Maxim’s Ho­tel, Belmont Manila, Savoy Manila and Win­ford Manila Re­sort and Casino, re­mark­ably said, “The three (3) ma­jor life’s chang­ing les­sons that I learned from this institutio­n are the Power of Dis­ci­pline, De­ci­sion mak­ing requires a proper mind­set, and be­ing Grate­ful al­ways.”

“This event is not only for those who achieved some­thing and pinned with medals but for ev­ery­one who strives hard to be­come a bet­ter per­son for with or with­out medals, you are all achiev­ers”. Delfin, added.

The Key­note Speaker, C/ E Roger John J. Na­tial of Agos­tia Ship Man­ning, coined his mes­sage from one of his fa­vorite sto­ries which has a no­table thoughts to pon­der with a very im­por­tant les­sons in life.

C/E Na­tial said, “Rejoice, cel­e­brate ev­ery lit­tle achieve­ments that you have, main­tain a thank­ful heart for we are main­tain­ing a healthy image ready to face all the chal­lenges in life.”

“There’s so much more rea­son to smile than to frown be­cause our power to dream is lim­it­less, thus we should en­large our vi­sion, but do not for­get to ask for Divine prov­i­dence be­cause suc­cess in life en­tails a lot of sac­ri­fices and crit­i­cisms but en­trust ev­ery­thing to our Dear God Almighty”. He con­cluded.

Some one hun­dred (100) achiev­ers were prod­ucts of BS Marine Trans­porta­tion, Marine Engineerin­g, Tourism, Hos­pi­tal­ity Man­age­ment and Busi­ness Ad­min­is­tra­tion.
