6 ex-rebels to re­ceive gov’t aid

SIX for­mer rebels who sur­ren­dered to the 62nd In­fantry Bat­tal­ion and 3rd Civil-mil­i­tary Op­er­a­tions Bat­tal­ion are set to re­ceive as­sis­tance from the govern­ment on June 3.

The as­sis­tance will be given af­ter the for­mer rebels un­dergo the Provin­cial So­cial Wel­fare and Devel­op­ment Of­fice (PSWDO) “Pro­ject Iden­ti­fi­ca­tion Work­shop”, a re­quire­ment prior to the re­lease of P50,000.00 worth of Liveli­hood As­sis­tance of the En­hanced Com­pre­hen­sive Lo­cal In­te­gra­tion Pro­gram (E-CLIP).

This is the sec­ond step in E-CLIP im­ple­men­ta­tion af­ter the award­ing of Rein­te­gra­tion As­sis­tance last Fe­bru­ary 18, 2019 by the Provin­cial Depart­ment of In­te­rior and Lo­cal Govern­ment (PDILG).

The provin­cial govern­ment has been invit­ing rebels to go back to the folds of the govern­ment so that they could live a nor­mal life with their fam­i­lies./tde
