Man nabbed for il­le­gal firearms

A MAN was ar­rested for il­le­gal firearms by op­er­a­tives of Po­lice Sta­tion 8 at Ramylu Drive, Barangay Tan­gub, Ba­colod City Sun­day af­ter­noon.

Po­lice iden­ti­fied the sus­pect as Vin­cent Palad, of Barangay Tan­gub.

Po­lice Ma­jor Ariel Pico, spokesper­son of Ba­colod City Po­lice Of­fice, said the sus­pect was caught hold­ing a firearm at about 2:30 p.m.

Po­lice re­cov­ered from Palad’s pos­ses­sion one Colt .45 cal­iber loaded with magazine with four live am­mu­ni­tion, and one empty shell of .45 cal­iber pis­tol.

Pico said the per­son­nel of Po­lice Sta­tion 8 were in­formed that some­one is fir­ing an uniden­ti­fied firearm along Ramylu drive.

The sus­pect is de­tained at the cus­to­dial fa­cil­ity of Po­lice Sta­tion 8 and fac­ing charges for vi­o­la­tion of Repub­lic Act 10592 or Com­pre­hen­sive Firearms and Am­mu­ni­tion Reg­u­la­tion Act.*
