The Birth of Ro­tary Club Bi­nal­ba­gan - East

The Ro­tary In­ter­na­tional Dis­trict 3850 of­fi­cers and mem­bers have wel­comed the birth of the Ro­tary Club of Bi­nal­ba­gan - East, which was founded on May 30, 2019 and had its in­au­gu­ra­tion and oath tak­ing of its found­ing club of­fi­cers on June 16, 2019 at the Mt. Carmel Ar­cade, J.P. Rizal Street, Bi­nal­ba­gan, Ne­gros Oc­ci­den­tal.

The cre­ation of this new club was the hand­work of some of the well mean­ing RC East of­fi­cers namely Past Dis­trict Gover­nor Philip S. Abello, Past Pres­i­dent Franklin G. Fuentevell­a, Club Pres­i­dent Philip Araneta and sev­eral oth­ers, which is con­sid­ered as a mean­ing­ful ad­di­tion to the ex­ist­ing Ro­tary Clubs un­der RI Dis­trict 3850.

Dis­trict Gover­nor Lin­don See Diet came to Bi­nal­ba­gan, all the way from a ro­tary con­ven­tion in

Ham­burg, Ger­many and was with Dis­trict Gov­er­nor­elect Leonardo Rafael “Ra­phy” Tayco, Dis­trict Gover­nor - nom­i­nee Louie Gon­zaga and some other PDGS and past pres­i­dents dur­ing the in­au­gu­ra­tion of RC Bi­nal­ba­gan - East.

Gover­nor Diet ad­min­is­tered the oath of of­fice of the newly-in­stalled of­fi­cers led by its found­ing Pres­i­dent Rael M. Lopez; Ephrem G. Dadi­vas, Vice Pres­i­dent; Theresa Agnes Lopez, Sec­re­tary; Max Guanco, Trea­surer; Zaldy Geroy, Di­rec­tor, Ro­tary Foundation; Jose Rull, Jr., Di­rec­tor for Club Ad­min­is­tra­tion, Raphael Gabayeron, Di­rec­tor for Ser­vice Projects; Eu­marie T. Bayles, Di­rec­tor for Mem­ber­ship; Arnold Gaborro and Leonida Gaborro, Di­rec­tor for Pub­lic Im­age.

The of­fi­cers were with their re­spec­tive spouses whom some were also new Ro­tar­i­ans namely Mrs. Ma. Lour­des Dadi­vas, Eva Geroy, Procesa Rull and Julie Carr Gabayeron.

The new club mem­bers were Caren Jean Abki­lan, Francisco Tan­tia, Romulo Gavazan, Sr., Jose Ma. An­gel Guanco, Ryan Es­co­bia, Ra­mon Tuale, Ed­win Pabon­tosa, Louel Ru­bin, Me­lanie Yan­gan, Glena Ganon, Ur­se­cio In­odeo and Mary Ann In­odeo and Sa­muel Alabado and Ar­lene Alabado.

The mem­bers were also joined by their re­spec­tive spouses.

More­over, the found­ing Pres­i­dent Lopez vowed to serve his fel­low­men through Ro­tary.

“This serves as the an­swer to my quest to live with a pur­pose.”

Lopez has served the Philip­pine Na­tional Po­lice for 28 years.

Quot­ing Kahlil Gi­bran who said, “You give but lit­tle when you give your pos­ses­sions. It is when you give your­self that you truly give.”

He wants to serve as an in­spi­ra­tion to oth­ers and to the next gen­er­a­tion.*
