Manhunt on for 2 driv­ers in Sum-ag hit and run

THE Ba­colod City Po­lice Sta­tion 9 is fac­ing dif­fi­culty in iden­ti­fy­ing the driv­ers of the mo­tor­cy­cle and the tri­cy­cle who hit and ran over the 62-year old man at Araneta Street, Barangay Sum-ag Sun­day even­ing.

Po­lice Cap­tain Jun Ray Batad­lan, chief of Po­lice Sta­tion 9, said yes­ter­day that they se­cured a copy of the closed circuit tele­vi­sion (CCTV) cam­era footage in the area, but it is not clear.

He said they will check another copy of the CCTV footage in the area so they can iden­tify the two driv­ers who fled af­ter the ac­ci­dent.

He added the Ceres Bus driver Regie Le­jarso, 38, of Bi­nal­ba­gan, Ne­gros Oc­cien­tal, who vol­un­tar­ily sur­ren­dered, was al­ready re­leased af­ter the lapse of his re­gle­men­tary pe­riod on Mon­day af­ter­noon.

Batad­lan noted that the Ceres Bus com­pany is also will­ing to help the fam­ily of the vic­tim

On Sun­day even­ing, Ed­uardo En­riquez, of Purok Ma­gayon, Barangay Sum-ag, was cross­ing at Araneta Street when he was hit by mo­tor­cy­cle.

The vic­tim fell on the ground and he was hit again by a Ceres Bus then, a tri­cy­cle, all trav­el­ling from Ba­colod to­wards south di­rec­tion./map
