P160K ‘shabu’ seized in Ba­colod

AN es­ti­mated P160,000 worth of shabu or metham­phetamine hy­drochlo­ride was seized in sep­a­rate drug bust op­er­a­tions of Ba­colod City Po­lice Of­fice (BCPO) in Ba­colod City.

The op­er­a­tions also led to the ar­rest of the two drug per­son­al­i­ties iden­ti­fied as Stephen Chavez and Michael Jime­nea.

Jime­nea was ar­rested by op­er­a­tives of Po­lice Sta­tion 6 af­ter he sold a shabu to a po­lice un­der­cover at Purok BM, Barangay Ta­c­ul­ing at about 12:30 a.m. yes­ter­day.

Po­lice re­cov­ered from Jime­nea’s pos­ses­sion four sa­chets of shabu with es­ti­mated mar­ket value of P10,000, and the P300 marked money.

Chavez was also ar­rested in joint op­er­a­tion by op­er­a­tives of Re­gional Drug En­force­ment Unit-6 and Po­lice Sta­tion 2 at Barangay 10 at about 4 p.m. on Mon­day.

Po­lice re­cov­ered from Chavez’s pos­ses­sion 12 sa­chets of shabu with es­ti­mated mar­ket value of P150,000, the P500 marked money, and drug para­pher­na­lia.

The sus­pects are de­tained at the cus­to­dial fa­cil­ity of Po­lice Sta­tions 2 and 6 and fac­ing charges for vi­o­la­tion of Repub­lic Act 9165 or the Com­pre­hen­sive Dan­ger­ous Drugs Act of 2002./MAP
