NGCP sets 12-hour power in­ter­rup­tion on July 13

THE Na­tional Grid Cor­po­ra­tion of the Philip­pines (NGCP) will have its 12-hour power in­ter­rup­tion in north­ern ar­eas of Ne­gros Oc­ci­den­tal on Satur­day, July 13.

The power in­ter­rup­tion will start from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the con­sumers of North­ern Ne­gros Elec­tric Co­op­er­a­tive, Inc. (Noneco) in the whole cov­er­age ar­eas of San Car­los City, Es­calante City, To­boso, Manapla, Cala­trava, Cadiz City, and Sa­gay City.

En­gi­neer Jef­frey Poblador, TSD Man­ager, in a press state­ment said that the NGCP’S power shut­down in said ar­eas is in­tended for pre­ven­tive main­te­nance of power trans­former 1 and 2, and re­place­ment of 138 kv trans­mis­sion line in­su­la­tors.

Noneco will also have its ride-on ac­tiv­ity such as the in­stal­la­tion of D Struc­ture of 69 kv con­nec­tion of NNBP, cor­rec­tion of hotspot in Noneco’s sub­sta­tion, line clear­ing, and re­place­ment of rot­ten or di­lap­i­dated struc­tures.

Con­sumers were also ad­vised that in the event of any power in­ter­rup­tion, elec­tri­cal switches should be turned off for safety rea­sons./map
