P370M road project breaks ground

A P370M worth of road project that will con­nect Negros Occidental and Negros Ori­en­tal will soon be ma­te­ri­al­ized as the ground­break­ing was held Septem­ber 11.

The ground­break­ing of the 22-kilo­me­ter farm to mar­ket road con­nect­ing Barangays Hi­lai­tan to Trinidad all of Gui­hul­ngan City was led by Gover­nor Roel Deg­amo.

The said project will di­rectly ben­e­fit a pop­u­la­tion of at least 12,000 from the 2 afore­men­tioned barangays, based on a 2015 cen­sus.

This will also con­nect Gui­hul­ngan, Negros Ori­en­tal and Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental, thus im­prov­ing the de­liv­ery of ba­sic ser­vices to re­mote ar­eas af­fected by the CPPNPA-NDF.

Gover­nor Deg­amo was ac­com­pa­nied by Gui­hul­ngan City Vice Mayor Ernesto Reyes; Bri­gadier Gen­eral Bene­dict Arevalo, 303rd In­fantry Brigade Com­man­der and Po­lice Colonel Riza­l­ito Ga­pas, Negros Ori­en­tal Provin­cial Po­lice Di­rec­tor dur­ing the cer­e­mony.
