Gun ban violator, 4 persons nabbed

CAMP BADO DANGWA – The quick response of the police operatives of the Police Regional Office Cordillera resulted in the arrest of a gun ban violator and four wanted persons in the different parts of the region.

Personnel of Kiangan Municipal Police Station arrested Rodrigo Dulawan Pundinlan of Alah, Baguinge, Kiangan, Ifugao after allegedly firing his gun while on board a tricycle.

Prior to the arrest, authorities in the municipality received a telephone call from a concerned citizen that a male person on board a tricycle fired a gun while proceeding towards Sitio Alah, Banguinge, Kiangan, Ifugao.

Police confiscated from Pundinlan a caliber .22 Astra bearing SN 79999 loaded with

three bullets and subsequently filed a case for violating the Omnibus Election Code and is now under the custody of Kiangan MPS.

On the other hand, four other wanted persons were also arrested in different police operations.

Alvin Quinto Elarde, 27, single, selfemployed, native of Binmaley, Pangasinan, and a resident of Banig, Tawang, La Trinidad, Benguet was arrested in Bahingawan Compound , KM.5, Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet on March 21 at around 10:05 AM by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Delilah Gonzales Muñoz of the Municipal Trial Court, La Trinidad, Benguet for Theft.

Albert Tongay Tengay, 63, separated, laborer, native of Alab Mountain Province and a resident of No. 47 Paredes street, Middle Quezon Hill, Baguio City was arrested in Session Road on March 21 at around 10: 45 AM by virtue of a warrant is- sued by Judge Amado S. Caguioa of First Judicial Region, RTC Branch 4, Baguio City for the crime of Rape in relation to RA 7610.

Antonette Kios Simongo, 26, midwife, single, and a resident of Lubas, Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet was arrested in KM.6, La Trinidad, Benguet on March 21 at around 1: 30 PM by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Emmanuel Cacho Rasing of First Judicial Region, RRTC Branch 3, Baguio City for the crime of Estafa with recommended bail bond of Ph100,000.

Bernardo Baywes, 36, married, driver, was arrested in his residence at Barangay Pingad, Sabangan on March 21 at around 8:30 PM by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Amparo M. Malinias Espada of MCTC of BuguiasBakun for the crime of Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Damage to Property and Serious Physical Injuries. RPIO PRO-COR
