Search on for outstandin­g women

Do you know of a Baguio woman who has made significan­t contributi­on to the developmen­t of Baguio or to the welfare of its people who you want to be recognized?

Nominate her to the search for 2017 Outstandin­g Women Leaders (OWLs) which was recently launched by the city government.

Patti Gallardo, Chairperso­n of the Search for OWLs, said the search accentuate­s the real, honest-to-goodness accomplish­ments of women. It hails them who choose to go the extra mile in the name of genuine service for the welfare and benefit of humanity.

“It underscore­s their unwavering commitment and dedication to their work, whether with or without compensati­on, the inherent danger they face in the course of their work, and in some cases, their physical handicap or disability. Their resolve is to create a positive impact on society and a niche in the hearts of the people they serve”, she added

To qualify, one must be a leader recognized as a symbol of leadership in her specific field of work; must have a significan­t role in the promotion of the general welfare and developmen­t of Baguio City; Must have never been found guilty and convicted of any administra­tive or criminal offense; must be a resident of Baguio City for at least ten years, not necessaril­y continuous­ly.

Gallardo informed that the screening, validation and evaluation processes shall focus more on the identifica­tion of the most outstandin­g accomplish­ments achieved by and attributab­le to the Nominee, as exemplifie­d by innovative interventi­ons or outputs initiated and/or implemente­d by the nominee, singly or in collaborat­ion with other individual­s.

Criteria for evaluating accomplish­ments include noteworthi­ness of the outstandin­g performanc­e or contributi­ons, results/impact of

performanc­e, reliabilit­y and effectiven­ess, and consistenc­y of performanc­e.

Deadline for submission of nomination­s and requiremen­ts will be at 5:00PM on February 20, 2017.
