19th HEAD Junior Baguio leg begins

THE COUNTRY’S top seeded junior tennis player strut their wares today at the Baguio Tennis Club inside the Athletic Bowl for the ninth leg of the 19th HEAD Junior Tennis Satellite Circuit.

Close to 150 agegroup tennis players from different parts of Luzon and other parts of the country will be participat­ing the tournament­s top billed by siblings Andre and Alexi Jarata, who hail from La Union as well as Kidlat Estojero from Cavite.

Other ace junior tennis players are also expected to join the competitio­n organized by HEAD Philippine­s’ distributo­r Dynamic Sports Corporatio­n.

“We always look forward to the Baguio Leg of our tournament as it is the most attended venue,” says Thea Llamson-Concepcion, marketing manager of HEAD Philippine­s. “It is always exciting to see our young athletes show off their talents during the competitio­n.”

Categories in the 19th HEAD Junior Tennis Satellite Circuit include the 10-yearsold ad under (unisex), 12-years-old and under (boys), 14-yearsold and under (boys), 16-years-old and under (boys), 18-yearsold and under (boys), 12-years-old and under (girls), 14-yearsold and under (girls), 16-years-old and under (girls) and 18years-old and under (girls).

The one and only, three-month junior tennis satellite circuit is supported by Chris Sports, Toalson strings, UBE Express, the Premium Airport Bus Service, media partners People’s Television, Aksyon Sports, Business Mirror, Philippine Locale, Cook, Health and Fitness, Pilipino Mirror and Philippine­s Graphic.

The Baguio leg runs from May 11-15 while the 10th leg will be held in La Union on May 17 to 21 followed by Olongapo on May 23 to 27 while the last and final leg will be held in Manila on May 29 to June 4.
