Cops to stage bikathon against drugs

THE RACE is on as the Police Regional Office in the Cordillera is set to hold a bicycle race dubbed “Padyak Tungo sa Pagbabago 2017” next month.

Kicking off on June 2 at 5:20 in the morning, the race aims to raise funds to help rehabilita­te PRO - COR drug surrendere­es and also geared towards bringing awareness to a healthy lifestyle and attaining a stronger sense of camaraderi­e among the participan­ts.

Two categories featuring PNP personnel and bike enthusiast­s will challenge a tough route which ends at the regional office in Camp Bado Dangwa.

The bikathon starts at the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station grounds for both PNP and other bike enthusiast­s Route for PNP personnel will follow the road going to BSU last gate, to Strawberry Swamp, BAPTC – Buyagan Road going up to Wangal Housing passing through Pyramid Cemetery then exit at Valley Bread, Buyagan– Benguet Provincial Capitol to Cruz – Alapang– then finally proceed to the finish line at Camp Bado Dangwa.

The other route will see bike enthusiast­s from the starting line going to BSU last gate, to Strawberry Swamp – BAPTC – going up to Longlong road then u turn at Benguet PPSC

Compac- going back to Longlong Road-Puguis Road- Buyagan Road – going up to PENROCARWi­ndy Hill down to CCDC BuyaganBen­guet Provincial Capitol – Cruz going down to Alapang Junction– to AlnoBahong Junction to Bahong Proper – going up to Triniville – exit at Lower Tomay- Halsema Road then finally proceed to the finish line at Camp Bado Dangwa.

Participan­ts for the one day event will be charged P500 inclusive of t-shit, race bib, snacks and ticket for the raffle draw while registrati­on forms are now available at the PROCOR Regional Police Community Relations Division (RPCRD), Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet.
