THE CITY Government and the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) ushered in the 22nd Police Community Relations Month celebration recently at City Hall with the theme, “Police and Community: Sharing Responsibility, Taking Action in Unity”.

Mayor Mauricio Domogan, Congressman Mark Go and BCPO Chief Ramil Saculles led other local officials in unfurling a streamer proclaiming the event at the City Hall grounds.

Domogan earlier appealed to the public to report to the BCPO if they observe any “suspicious individuals” in their respective barangays who they have never seen before or are wary of.

He explained this will allow the police to do proper monitoring on said individuals to know the reason for their visit to the Summer Capital and other pertinent information.

The mayor stressed this is not to discriminate against anyone but to prevent the occurrence of any

untoward incidents that will compromise the safety and security of local residents.

Rene Sales and Johnny Quiling of Love Radio 95.1 FM turned-over a total of 400 reflectorized vests to personnel of the Public Order and Safety Division (90 vests), BCPO (250) and police auxillary (60) during the flagraising rites.

Sales said the donation is just the first wave in its parent company’s, Manila Broadcasting Corporation, nationwide activity dubbed, “Love is Vest”.

Domogan lauded the generous move and said that the equipment will go a long way in helping the recipients perform their important task of protecting the public and enforcing the city’s rules and regulations.
