Barangay Road Improves in Bangao

-

OVER the past years, floods and muddy roads has been a problem to communities during rainy season. Barangay Bangao is not exempted from this problem. During rainy days, the road going to Camp Molintas, Bangao National High School, Tin-apan Elementary School and Bangao Elementary School gets flooded and muddy. Since students get to school by foot, it was difficult for them to pass through the area. For some students who can afford, they hire tricycle in order to get to school without getting wet and covered by mud. It was not only a problem to students but also to some who resides in the area.

Some portion of the road was paved by the province. However, due to the continuous outpour of the rain that causes soil erosion, the project had to stop. The erosions however, were not solely caused by the continuous rain but also due to the poorly built drainage canal and some areas has to be riprapped before finishing the pavement. To address the problem, the provincial office allotted a budget of Php500, 000.00 for the construction. The project started June 13, 2017 and was completed July 7, 2017.

Currently, the students from Bangao Elementary School, Bangao National High School, Tinapan Elementary School and the residents no longer contend with flooded and muddy roads every time the rain pours. By Margarita M.
