-

ANOTHER Baguio football player is expected to get a call – up from the national squad as Aeron Tenollar of Baguio City High School will join five other players from the country for a training camp abroad.

Tenollar, a product of the grassroots program of the Cordillera Goshenland Football Club was chosen to be part of a training camp in Bali, Indonesia from August 1 – 4 under the club Bayern Munich.

Coach Aris Bocalan said Tenollar was chosen among the many candidates following a tournament earlier this year by the Manila Allianz Futsal Cup where he was scouted by the Philippine Football Federation.

“Proud ulit ang Baguio City sa nakuhang football player natin na si Aeron Tenollar punta ng Bali, Indonesia kasama ang national futsal team,” said Bocalan.

If he makes the cut, Tenollar will be among the few who will be called to Munich, Germany for another four day camp slated August 14 – 18.

Earlier this year, seven young football players from the region were chosen to undergo try-outs for the national team.

They are Dhan Hylle Mayomis (Benguet National High School), Shran Dyrick Vicente, and Aeron Christian Tenollar (BCNHS) for

the 14-under boys and their counterparts on the 14-under girls Kylie Faith Panagan and Lorjane Aludos (BSUSLS), Ahliya Malit (Baguio City HS), and Danica Kuengan (BSUELS).

They were scouted during the football festival at the Benguet State University Football Field in La Trinidad.

During the event backed by the CRFA, BSU-Alumni Association Inc. and Benguet State University Football Club in partnership with the Philippine Football Federation (PFF), young football players were trained in various skills and techniques.

The event aims to sustain the Nationwide Grassroots Development program of the PFF and to identify potential players for possible inclusion in the national training pool for international competitions. Roderick Osis
