4.5 MW power plant to rise in Ifugao town
LAGAWE, Ifugao — A 4.5-megawatt hydro power plant will be constructed at sitio Bayucan, barangay Tunggod in this municipality.
Hydrocore Corporation (HC) and Ifugao officials including the punong barangays of the five host barangays attended the recent groundbreaking ceremony to kick-off the start of the project dubbed as the 4.5 MW Ibulao Hydro Power Project.
HC, a subsidiary of Xidian Holdings Philippines Corp. will be the main contractor of the project in partnership with other subcontractors to ensure the speedy and safe construction of the power plant.
Cao Xiaoyang, president/chairman of Sichuan Xidian Electric Power Design Co. Ltd. (XEPDCL), promised the 4.5 MW Ibulao Hydro Project will be finished as early as possible.
He added all personnel of the project division together with people from other subcontractors shall strictly adhere to existing laws and regulations of the Philippines for a quality completion.

“To ensure cultural, timely and quality completion of the project, we have made deliberate and prudent plans, deployed strong and competent workforce, arranged high-grade and comprehensive machinery to work for this project,” Yingui stressed.
The Ibulao Hydro Power Plant targets to start business operations in the second quarter of 2019 and is expected to contribute to the electric power supply in Luzon.
Governor Pedro Mayam-o assured to the company the full support of the provincial government for the development of the province, the host barangays and the community as a whole.
HC was established in 2006 with the aim to support the community in addressing economic and utility concerns through Renewable Energy Development. In July 2017, HC became a subsidiary of Xidian Holdings Philippines Corporation.
