- PR

BAGUIO Representative Mark Go has sought significant requests from the Judiciary and the Department of the Interior and Local Government during the 2018 national budget deliberation in the Congress.

Go has raised to the Judiciary the operationalization of the two additional branches for both Municipal Trial Court in cities and Regional Trial Court in the city under Republic Act No. 10696 as well as the funding for the overdue renovation of Baguio Hall of Justice.

“The operationalization of these additional branches will aid the in decongesting the current case load of other branches that would further improve and expedite the disposition of cases in our lower courts,” the solon stressed. “While we need these additional branches, it would also be necessary to renovate Baguio City’s Hall of Justice that would warrant to the efficient performance of function of our court personnel to fully realize our objective towards a swift delivery of justice for our people,” Go added.

Furthermore, the solon requested police patrol motorcycles for the Philippine National Police (PNP) stationed under his district.

“Peace and order is an important aspect of community development which I personally put of paramount concern in relation to the security and protection of our people in Baguio. This would help our police authorities to promptly respond to the security needs of the community,” Go said.

Go is hopeful this request will be favorably acted upon by DILG.

Go said he aims for a more sustained and comprehensive approach in delivering public service in Baguio and also depends on the other branches of the government as his able partner in effecting their common objective of serving the people.
