Esguerra and Lumbag snatch two gold for Pacalso Elementay School

MANY of today’s elementary pupils look at their Mathematics and Science classes as either a boring, most hated subject or irrelevant to their future lives. But as the world becomes ever more digital, it will be difficult to avoid these academic subjects.

It was this lack of interest by students in Math and Science that Itogon District 1 conducted the annual promotion of Mathematics and Science awareness last September 21-22, 2017 at Tuding Elementary School, Tuding, Itogon Benguet. To give knowledge to pupils on how to balance the use of our natural resources with the need to conserve and preserve it.

In line with the activity, Pacalso Elementary School joined the Mathematics and Science Quiz Bee Contest. Wherein, Hennessie Abrielle Esguerra, A Grade IV pupil of Susan D. Akitan and Ava Cherrie Lumbag, Grade V1 pupil of Mrs. Josephine Marie Abrera snatch two gold and Yezzah Jira Tavara, Grade III pupil of mine won one bronze in Science Quiz Bee for the school over fourteen participating schools of Itogon District 1.

Meanwhile in Mathematics Quiz Bee, Shane Rosal, Grade V pupil of Miss Susan Calwitan got 1 silver over eleven contestants.

Esguerra and Lumbag will represent the District of Itogon I, for Science Quiz Bee Division Level at Lepanto Mankayan National High School on October 4-6. Francisca M. Olsim
