IN its bid to clear areas in the region of loose firearms and ammunition, the Police Regional Office Cordillera strengthened its campaign dubbed as “Oplan Kontra Boga”.

The surrendered firearms and ammunition was a result of a continuous engagement with the community through the conduct of dialogue with the residents under the “pulong-pulong” program in support to the PNP’s intensified campaign against Loose Firearms.

For the period of January to September 2017, PRO-Cor surpassed the target of 279 loose firearms on the Campaign against Loose Firearms by 129.39% or accomplishing 369 loose firearms.
