ONE announces complete fight card for ‘Immortal Pursuit’
SEVERAL bouts were added in the stacked fight card of One Championship slated on November 24 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium to be headlined by Ben Askren defending his welterweight championship belt against Shinya Aoki.
Askren is set to retire from professional competition, and takes an executive position with ONE Championship in his final bout against the former lightweight world champion.
In the co – main event, 22-year-old Singaporean top lightweight contender Amir Khan faces is the alwaysdangerous Adrian Pang.
Khan is currently riding a five-bout win streak, with all of his victories coming by way of scintillating finish, including one by submission and four by devastating knockout.
In his most recent outing, Khan needed less than one round to finish Jaroslav Jartim with a combination of punches and kicks.
Pang with a 22-10-2 professional record has decimated opponents with his incredible power and no-frills approach to striking in nearly two decades as a professional.
Seeing action in the main card is Leandro taking on Dae Hwan Kim in his next assignment.
In the women’s contest, Singaporean female strawweight contender May Ooi eyes another win against Cambodia’s Vy Srey Khouch.
In other bouts, Li Kai Wen of Tianjin squares off against Ahmed Mujtaba while 37-yearold Arnaud LePont returns to action after a short break to take on Richard Corminal.
Yang Fei of Hubei, China, a newcomer to ONE Championship will make his promotional debut against Muhammad Aiman in a three-round bout as Tiffany Teo will be up against Puja Tomar.
Chinese bantamweight prospect Miao Li Tao and Cambodian Khun Khmer practitioner Sim Bunsrun are set to kick off all the action in the evening’s first bout offering. The two strikers will lock horns in an exciting threeround contest, setting the pace of what should be an amazing night of martial arts competition. PR
