Tree planting and clean-up drive of Paoad ES

PAOAD Elementary School conducts cleanup drive along the road and within the vicinity of Barangay Caponga, Tublay as part of their community service on October 12, 2017. Identified scouts were grouped into three. They were accompanied by the PNP, PTA representatives, LGU Barangay Officials and teachers who assisted them and provided security while doing the clean and green program. It was also planned to have the coffee tree planting after the clean-up drive but since it rained in the afternoon, it was re- scheduled it on October 17, 2017. Representatives from the MDRRM, PNP, Barangay Officials, parents, teachers and scouts participated in the tree planting. The 50 coffee seedlings were provided by the Local Government of Barangay Caponga and 200 coffee seedlings were provided by Sayatan Community Based Nursery through DRRM-Tublay.

The tree planting activity and clean- up drive activity have provided our Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts a great adventure in outdoor learning. All designed activities have provided them an opportunity to explore varied fields of skills and knowledge. It also helped them in developing their self-reliance, self- discipline, self-confidence, self-respect and in rendering a community service. Likewise, harmonious relationship between the school, the Local Government Unit of Barangay Caponga, PTA, PNP and DRRM is highly evident. Nover P. Waig
