Former world champs lord regional wushu tilt

INTERNATIO­NAL at the Baguio City campaigner­s Alieson National High School Ken Omengan, Faith Auditorium last week. Llana Andaya and Former World Junior Aleca Breana Wushu Championsh­ip Dumseng lorded their silver medalist respective categories Andaya bagged two during the 2018 gold medals while Wushu Regional Omengan and Championsh­ip Games Dumseng snatched one apiece in the one day tournament backed by the Wushu Federation of the Philippine­s – Cordillera.

Oemngan was a gold medalist in the Asian Junior Wushu Championsh­ips in 2015 while Dumseng is also a silver medalist World Junior Wushu Championsh­ip.

Andaya started her campaign with a gold medal in the short weapon nandao, daioshu, jianshu group a female besting Dumseng who settled for second while Jennifer Falag-ey settled for third.

She scored her second gold medal in the long weapon nangun, gunshu, qiangshu female group a defeating Roselyn Longboan and Ghiel Rhaisa Figueras who settled for silver and bronze respective­ly.

Dumseng meanwhile dominated the long weapon gunshu, qiangshu male/female group b category defeating Thomas Eu-

gene Leung and Isaac Nathaniel Ugay.

Omengan on the other hand was a cut above the rest bagging the gold medal in the nan quan 1st and 3rd set and freestyle male category while Ranyag Anthony Quitasol settled for silver as Jose Angelo Delos Trinos snatched bronze.

In the short weapon daoshu, jianshu male/ female group b, Thomas Eugene Leung bagged the gold while Shanaya Pascual and Isaac Nathaniel Ugay salvaged silver and bronze respective­ly as Jose Efren Paol Delos Trinos took home the gold medal in the short weapon nandao, daioshu, jianshu group a male with Jose Angelo Delos Trinos and Marvin Marcelo settling for silver and bronze.

The long weapon nangun, gunshu, qiangshu male group a category saw Jose Efren Paol Delos Trinos taking home the gold while Jesreal Ballaba and Marvin Marcelo winning silver and bronze.

In the nan quan 1st and 3rd set and freestyle female category, Ghiel Rhaisa Figueras bested Dumseng for the gold while Roselyn Longboan took the bronze.

Jose Efren Paol Delos Trinos took another gold medal in the chang quan 1st and 3rd set and freestyle male while Guiller Franz Bayongasan and Andrei Rey Albert settled for silver and bronze as Beverly Soriano won the gold in the chang quan 1st and 3rd set and freestyle female with Grace de Africa and Jennifer Falag-ey bagging the silver and bronze.

In the 16 steps sword (jian) female, Sheran Dacanay, Mercylin Alexander and Maribel Garcia were the top three winners while in the 16 steps male category, Adolfo Pinas won the gold while Wahab Saber settled for silver.

The 24 steps taiji male/female (3 yrs old and above) saw Cesar Mercado winning the gold while Jim Valdellon and Mirabel Garcia bagging silver and bronze as Vera Jane Dulay was the first placer in the 24 steps taiji male/female (30 years old and above) with Maria Alexandrya Artheia Pascual and Hans Lubguban settling for silver and bronze.

Cesar Mercado won the gold in the 42 steps taiji male(30 years old and above) with Christophe­r Canam

and Wahab Saber salvaged silver and bronze while the 42 steps sword male/female category saw Mercylin Alexander winning the gold while Sheran Dacanay and Adolfo Pinas went home with the silver and bronze.

In the 42 steps taiji female (30 years old and above), Mercylin Alexander, Sofia Olat and Sheran Dacanay was the top three finishers.
